These Terms govern the web hosting and related services provided by Donaldson R F, an independent professional (the "Provider"), through tailoredwebhost.com. By requesting a quote and confirming an order, the client (the "Client") accepts these Terms in full.
1. Nature of the service
The Provider offers fully managed web hosting, including server administration, security monitoring, backups, and technical maintenance carried out entirely by the Provider. Depending on the plan agreed, the service may also include a monthly allowance of website edits and, on the top plan, a monthly allowance of SEO actions, as described on the website at the time of the order.
The Client is not provided with, and does not need, direct technical access to the hosting server or control panel to use this service. All technical administration is carried out by the Provider. Where the Client requests direct access for their own reasons, the scope of "fully managed" responsibility may be adjusted accordingly and discussed in advance.
2. Monthly edit and SEO allowances
- Plans that include website edits provide up to 5 edits per calendar month, as defined on the website (small content changes such as price updates, photo changes, text updates, and similar). Larger requests, such as a full redesign or a new section of the site, are quoted and handled separately.
- Plans that include SEO actions provide up to 5 SEO actions per calendar month, as defined on the website (page, content, and technical adjustments aimed at improving indexing and search visibility).
- Unused edits and unused SEO actions do not carry over to the following month under any circumstances. Each monthly allowance resets independently and is not cumulative.
- The Provider will use reasonable judgement to classify a request as an included edit/SEO action or as separately quoted work, and will inform the Client before carrying out any work that falls outside the monthly allowance.
3. No guaranteed search ranking
Where SEO actions are included, the Provider undertakes to carry out genuine, ongoing work aimed at improving the Client's visibility in search engines. The Provider does not guarantee any specific search engine ranking, as this depends on factors outside the Provider's control, including third-party search engine algorithms.
4. Access, data and backups
- The Provider maintains regular backups of hosted sites as part of the managed service. The Client may request a copy of their own backups at any time.
- The Provider does not share hosting access credentials with third parties not involved in delivering the service.
- The Client remains the owner of their domain name, content, and data at all times, including in the event the Client chooses to move to a different hosting provider.
5. Pricing and quotes
No fixed price list is published on the website, as a fair price depends on the specific site being hosted, its platform, its condition, and the level of ongoing service selected. Before any paid work begins, the Provider will give the Client a clear quote. Pricing reflects the actual scope of the service agreed; no hidden or undisclosed charges are applied.
6. Cancellation and refunds
If, after review, the Provider determines that a migration or set-up genuinely cannot be completed successfully, the Client will not be charged for work that did not deliver a working result. The Client may cancel a request at no cost before paid work has begun. For ongoing monthly plans, cancellation takes effect from the next billing period unless otherwise agreed.
7. Third-party providers
The Provider is not responsible for outages, data loss, or security incidents caused directly by third-party infrastructure providers, domain registrars, payment processors (such as Stripe), or email providers (such as Apple iCloud), while committing to work with reliable providers and to assist the Client in resolving any issues that arise with them.
8. Governing law
These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute falls under the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Pavia, Italy, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protection rights the Client may have under the law of their own country of residence.
